The tea hills at golden hour, seen from the ridge at Aperio, Tigoni
Horizons

A farm-to-fork café and experience sanctuary on a Tigoni tea plantation, 1800 metres into the Kenyan highlands. Thirty minutes from the city. A lifetime from it.

The founding verb

aperio — “I open”

Most restaurants give you a view of something. Aperio gives you the space to see differently.

We sit where the tea hills fall away into a 180° open horizon, creating space to see, taste, and think differently.

The technique is Northern Italian. The land and instinct are African. We don't imitate what isn't here. We make something truthful from what is.

We don't import Italy. We translate it.

THE TABLE

The table, wide open.

La Colazione opens the morning and Il Pomeriggio holds the afternoon, alongside a beverage list built for the view and a picnic menu made for the grass beneath it.

RESERVE

Take a table by the horizon

Four ways to book an afternoon at Tigoni — a window table in the main house, the whole deck to yourselves, a private corner on the Small Deck, or mikeka on the grass under the trees. Pick your space, then your table.

Experience Sanctuary

More reasons to stay a while.

The café is the introduction. The experiences are where the afternoon turns into something you carry home — strangers into friends.
